The Name of Jesus

What is so unique about the Name of Jesus? The Name of Jesus has all of God’s power invested in it. In other words, the sum power of God has been put into the Name of Jesus. Matthew 28:18 says, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” And in Mark 16:17, Jesus said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils;” The Name of Jesus truly has all power in it, when spoken in faith. The Bible says in Philippians 2 that because Jesus was so humble unto the Father, he was even obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Because He did all that God has highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name. At the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. Do you understand what is in the Name of Jesus? When I speak the Name of Jesus, with confidence and authority, Heaven, earth, and hell come to attention. In the things of the Spirit, you do not come to attention by standing tall with your hands at your side, military style. In the things of the Spirit, you come to attention on your knees, to worship or in prayer. In Heaven, the angels await your orders (see Psalm 103:20). On the earth, you should daily spend some time on your knees worshipping Jesus, the Lord, thanking Him for what he has done for you, what He is doing and what He will do for others through you. And in hell, demons tremble and cower on their knees because they know they cannot prevail when they come against that Name, the Name of Jesus!
In 1996, while working at a local shopping center, a woman customer asked me for help. I told her all I could do at the time was pray for her and believe with her that her situation would be alright. I took her hand and said, “I will pray for you in the Name of Jesus”. That is all I had a chance to say because at the Name of Jesus, she screamed in a loud shrieking voice, “No, you cannot pray for me. I am a witch!!” She bolted and ran away. I tried to stop her. The Name of Jesus would have set her free, but she was gone. Instantly, I heard in my spirit, you have just seen James 4:7 come to pass in your life.
What is it about that Name? All of God’s power is in the Name of Jesus. To me, The Name of Jesus has truly come to be the I Am. He is whatever I need Him to be. He is Healing, Provision, and Peace. He is the I Am. Jesus. There is something about that Name!! Give Him Glory and Praise, for He is Worthy!
